Friendly Reminder
Please help your child practice multiplication and division facts.
In addition, to read everyday for a minimum of 40 minutes including weekends. Reading logs should be signed each night. They will be collected and checked every Monday morning.

Writing
This year some things we are learning to do are:
- Write informational, argument, and narrative essays with reasons or evidence.
- Organize our writing with a clear introduction, conclusion, body paragraphs with related information and text evidence.
- Link reasons/opinions with transitional words and phrases.
- Use precise language and vocabulary.
- Write over extended periods of time.

This year we are learning how to:
- read closely with a purpose to find details in the text.

On Friday's we would like to invite parents into the classroom to either read a book of their choice in a language of their choice. Another option is to do an activity of their choice with the class. Please contact us to let us know if there is a Friday that works for you!
Remote Learning
Students will be responsible for:

-Watching our Visual Learning Video for each lesson posted ( This video introduces the skill and explains to the students how they can solve the problem)
-Solve and Share problem Students will solve this problem This problem introduces the lesson
-Quick Check 5 problems- Students will complete 5 problems practicing the skill that was introduced.
-Exit Ticket/ Quiz This will be our assessment on how the students are understanding each lesson ( it will range from 1-5 questions)
** I will be available during this time for students to ask questions, model problems using various web methods, and answering emails and remind messages**
