(UPDATED) Concert Attire for SPRING

For the upcoming Spring Concert, we are dressing up a bit colorful.
The school will be providing t-shirts for both Chorus and Band.
Band will be wearing Blue T-shirt
Chorus will be wearing Royal Purple T-shirt

Girls:

Black pants/tights

Black shoes

Boys:

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I would like to welcome you and your children back from what I hope was a fun and relaxing summer! This is my first year teaching this music program and I am looking forward to seeing amazing things that these talented young people will soon accomplish! Please take the time to review all of the following information in detail with your child. Concert dates will be provided as soon as they become available. I. CLASSROOM RULES

Show respect for the teacher, other students and equipment.
Keep your hands to yourself.
Raise your hand and speak or play only when the teacher permits.
Come to class prepared
Use appropriate language
Obey all school rules.

II. ARTS AND SCIENCES GRADING POLICY

Class Participation = 40% Homework = 10%
Exams/Projects = 30 % Portfolio = 20%

III. HOMEWORK

Homework will not be assigned every night but it will be counted towards your child’s class grade. Written homework will be assigned to reinforce the concepts taught in class.

IV. MATERIALS

Grades 2^nd - 5^th

Folder

Your child’s folder will be kept in the music room for classwork. The only materials your child or children will be responsible is to bring their pencils on days we use the music folder. It is important that students bring these materials for participation.
